Several prior regulations and decisions were deemed inconsistent with the current Coretax system requirements and were therefore replaced or repealed.<\/p><p>As stated in the preamble of the regulation:<\/p><p><em>\u201c\u2026it is necessary to stipulate a regulation of the Director General of Taxes concerning the procedures for delivering certain administrative tax services as part of implementing the core tax administration system,<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Scope of PER-8\/PJ\/2025<\/strong><\/p><p>The regulation covers the following 13 tax administration services:<\/p><ol><li>Issuance of <strong>Tax Clearance Certificates (SKF)<\/strong>;<\/li><li>Procedures for <strong>changing bookkeeping methods and\/or fiscal years<\/strong>;<\/li><li>Requests, notifications, approvals, cancellations, and reissuance of permits for maintaining bookkeeping and recording in <strong>English<\/strong> or in <strong>U.S. dollars<\/strong>;<\/li><li>Applications and decisions regarding the <strong>book value approach<\/strong> in business mergers, consolidations, spin-offs, or acquisitions;<\/li><li>Requests for and administration of <strong>revaluation of fixed assets<\/strong> for tax purposes;<\/li><li>Applications for <strong>exemption from income tax withholding and\/or collection<\/strong> by third parties;<\/li><li>Issuance of exemption certificates for <strong>Article 22 Income Tax<\/strong> on <strong>imported gold bullion<\/strong> to be processed into jewelry for export purposes;<\/li><li>Issuance of exemption certificates for <strong>income tax on interest from deposits and savings<\/strong>, and <strong>discounts on Bank Indonesia certificates<\/strong> received by pension funds legally established or licensed by the Ministry of Finance or the Financial Services Authority (OJK);<\/li><li>Income tax <strong>exemptions for income derived from the transfer of land and\/or building rights<\/strong>, including pre-sale agreements and exemptions from tax collection on luxury housing sales within <strong>tourism Special Economic Zones (SEZs)<\/strong>;<\/li><li>Verification procedures for <strong>compliance with income tax payment obligations<\/strong> on land\/building transfers or related pre-sale agreements;<\/li><li>Issuance of certificates regarding the <strong>utilization of taxable services<\/strong> from outside the customs area within Indonesia&#8217;s customs territory;<\/li><li><strong>Revocation of approvals<\/strong> for applying income tax solely to income sourced from within Indonesia;<\/li><li>Tax services related to the <strong>fulfillment of tax obligations by prospective regional election candidates<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><p>PER 8 was officially enacted on May 21, 2025, and is valid from this date forward.<\/p><p>In accordance with the provisions of PER 8, all service products related to the 13 aforementioned services that were issued between January 1, 2025,
