On April 4, President Trump shared via Truth Social that he had a productive phone call with Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary General <strong>To Lam<\/strong>, during which Vietnam expressed its willingness to <strong>eliminate all tariffs on U.S. goods<\/strong> in exchange for a broader trade agreement.<\/p><p><em>\u00a0\u201cVietnam wants to cut their tariffs to ZERO if a deal can be reached,\u201d Trump posted.<\/em><\/p><p>Plans for a bilateral summit are reportedly underway, signaling a possible de-escalation in the Vietnam-U.S. trade relationship. Vietnam\u2019s response reflects a pragmatic strategy-leveraging dialogue over retaliation to preserve economic stability.<\/p><p><strong>Indonesia: Pursuing Diplomacy and Export Diversification<\/strong><\/p><p>Indonesia, whose exports are now subject to a <strong>32% import tariff<\/strong>, has adopted a strategy focused on <strong>active diplomacy and market diversification<\/strong>.
