Starting <strong>May 1st<\/strong>, it\u2019ll cost a bit more. The Jakarta Provincial Government has officially announced that <strong>all fuel purchases at gas stations (SPBU) in the capital will be subject to a 10% Regional Fuel Tax<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This new tax is formally known as the <strong>Regional Tax on Fuel for Motor Vehicles (PBBKB)<\/strong> and is part of a broader move under Indonesia\u2019s <strong>Law No. 1 of 2022 on Fiscal Relations between Central and Regional Governments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" role=\"img\" class=\"emoji\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude8d\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/15.1.0\/svg\/1f68d.svg\"><\/strong><strong> Public Transport Gets a Break<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To support public mobility and reduce emissions, the government has introduced a <strong>reduced tax rate of 5% for public transportation vehicles<\/strong>.
